Jason West is head of MBL’s Fort Worth office.

Jason is a fifth generation Texan and a first generation lawyer who grew up in the piney woods of East Texas. He began his legal career during law school as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Robert M. Parker in the United States Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit. Out of law school, Jason went to work for a prominent Dallas law firm that gave him the opportunity to cut his teeth in the courtroom handling foreclosure, eminent domain, and insurance defense cases. Early in his legal career, Jason left the Dallas law firm to start a new law firm with a fold out table, a stool, and one file. Over the next decade, he grew his practice, opening offices in Fort Worth and handling cases in 149 Texas counties, 17 states, and 3 foreign countries. Now, Jason has joined the MBL team to help them grow their newest location in the museum district of Fort Worth.

During the course of his career, Jason has litigated in state and federal courts on matters relating to breach of contract against individuals and service contractors, foreclosure on liens, real estate fraud, business fraud, tortious interference, bankruptcy, collections, and products liability cases. He has also represented clients on countless transactional issues such as real property conveyances, employment agreements, credit agreements, regulatory compliance documents, confidentiality agreements, trade secret protection, master service agreements, lien filings, lease agreements, and real estate closings. Jason’s niche has been representing energy service companies in the oil and gas industry.
